Hello everyone. I am the representative director of the NPO Asahikawa Nurse Harmony.

My name is Machiko Kasai.

I love Asahikawa and I love people. That's why I'm a nurse.

I myself grew up feeling lonely, so I decided to leave my parents and came to Asahikawa.

I still remember the help that many local citizens gave me at that time.

That's why I want to help the people who live in this town - that feeling is my starting point.

Looking at the country as a whole, it seems that, perhaps due to the trend towards nuclear families, children are having fewer opportunities to interact with various adults, and more children are feeling anxious about connecting with others.

At the free school "Hinatabocco," we help children interact naturally with local adults and develop the ability to build relationships with others.

For those who find it difficult to attend, we provide gentle support through visiting nursing care.

At Asahikawa Nurse Harmony, an NPO, we value building trusting relationships while listening to each individual's past and future.
